Thunderstorm with gusty winds likely to occur in North Coastal AP, Telangana

Hyderabad, Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next four days starting from 0830 hours today, Meteorological Department warned on Monday. In a bulletin here, it also warned that thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Komaram Bheem. Asifabad, Rajanna Siricilla, Sangareddy, Medak, Siddipet, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkhajigiri, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Vikarabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal, Jagtial and Nagarkurnool of Telangana during the next 48 hours. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days, while dry weather is likely to prevail over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.

Maximum temperature is likely to continue to be above normal by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius at a few places in Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours. Rain occurred at isolated places in Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours, while dry weather prevailed in Telangana during the same period. In Telangana, the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad, Khammam and Nizamabad. In Hyderabad the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 40 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin said. In Andhra Pradesh, the maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius was recorded at Kadapa, while in Vijayawada, the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 40 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin added.
