Light to moderate rain lashes parts of HP

Shimla, Light to moderate rain lashed parts of Himachal Pradesh in last 24 hours as monsoon was partly active in the state. According to the Met office, Bangana in Una district and Jubbarhatti in Shimla recorded 33 mm rainfall each, respectively, in last 24 hours . Khadrala in Shimla and Dharamshala in Kangra district had 27 mm rainfall each, Amb in Una 25 mm, Kasauli in Solan 21 mm, Pachhad in Sirmour district 13 mm, Una 11 mm and Kandaghat in Solan nine mm. Nandan in Hamirpur eight mm, Sangrah in Sirmaur six mm, Renuka and Hamirpur Three mm each Palampur in Kangra, Shimla, Rampur, and Nahan in Sirmaur two mm. The maximum temperature of Shimla was recorded at 16.4 degrees, Sundernagar 22.7 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 99.4 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnnaur 11.4 degrees, Dharamshala in Kangra 18.6 degrees, Una 23 degrees and Nahan in Sirmour 17.7 degrees. Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti 9.1 degrees, Palampur in Kangra 19.5 degree, 16 19 degrees, Manali and Kullu 13.6 degrees Kangra 23 degrees, Mandi 19 degrees Bilaspur 21 degrees, Hamirpur 21.5 degrees, Chamba 20.4 degrees Dalhousie in Chamba 16.4 degrees and Kufri in Shimla 13.6 degrees. The met office forecast rain and thunder shower in few places of mid and foothills and and isolated places in the higher reaches.
